(SBN Sports) Florida A&M quarterback Ryan Stanley connected on 19 of 32 passes for 217 yards and a touchdown leading the Rattlers to a 22 point win over the Texas Southern Tigers . The 6’3″ 190 pound redshirt sophomore started the scoring in the first quarter with a nine yard TD run helping the Rattlers win the inaugural Jake Gaither Classic in Tallahassee.

Florida A&M would strike again in the second quarter as junior running back Devin Bowers completed a 61 yard drive finding the end zone after a six yard run. After a failed extra point attempt , the Rattlers would strike again with nine minutes left in the half as Stanley connected with senior receiver Brandon Norwood on a 35 yard TD pass putting the Rattlers up 20-0. In the second half A&M came up with a safety and senior quarterback Vince Jeffries scored a touchdown on 12 yard run . Texas Southern finally found the end zone in the fourth quarter as Darvin Kidsy caught a 30 yard TD pass from Tigers QB Jay Christophe.
Florida A&M finished the game with 415 yards of total offense, while the Rattlers defense held Texas Southern to only 202 yards total. Up next for FAMU is Arkansas and Texas Southern will take on Prairie View A&M.
