(SBN Sports) – NFL free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick has yet to be signed to a team for the 2017 season. Some say his protest of the National Anthem is what has hindered his progress in the league. Kaepernick is quoted as saying he was “protesting injustices against black people in America, not the flag.”

He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, who wrote a letter of support to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on behalf of the organization.

“To our knowledge, Mr. Kaepernick has not broken any laws, he has not been accused of breaking any laws and he not under investigation by the league for allegedly breaking any laws. As such, this is a letter of support for our fraternity brother and an appeal to the office of the commissioner to right the wrongs, spoken and unspoken, that find Mr. Kaepernick, a recent NFC champion, blackballed solely for exercising his constitutional right to free speech.” – Thomas L. Battles, Jr., Grand Polemarch of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
