NEW YORK (AP) – Two friends of Tupac Shakur have opposite feelings about the movie of his life, “All Eyez on Me.” Jada Pinkett Smith hated it, and MC Hammer loved it.

Pinkett Smith was a childhood friend of Shakur’s and says the movie gives a “deeply hurtful” version of their friendship.

She complimented the performance by Kat Graham, who plays her, but Pinkett Smith says she never argued with Shakur backstage and he never read her a poem.

MC Hammer was friends with Shakur and tweets the film is “an excellent truthful portrayal” of his friend. He points out it’s a movie, not a documentary.
