LORMAN, Miss. (AP) – Eleven Alcorn State University football players have been arrested after authorities say a fight broke out on the school’s Mississippi campus. News outlets report that misdemeanor charges have been filed against each of the players and more arrests are likely. The fight started April 10 in the school’s cafeteria. Officials say it was captured on several cellphone cameras and widely circulated last week.

The university released this statement:
Alcorn State University is aware of an incident involving students Monday, April 10. Maintaining a safe and secure campus community is the institution’s top priority. Campus Police investigates all instances of student misconduct thoroughly and appropriate disciplinary actions are implemented in accordance with Alcorn’s Student Code of Conduct.”
